HARD DRIFT
“…very quiet up there and the only people I ever see up there in the wee hours are the helicopter crew…”
On January 6th, 2003 U had just finished my late shift (XXXXX ) (hospital), where I am a nurse. Mostly I work in trauma surgery recovery and burn units because of my time in Army hospitals.
I’d had a very rough night and against better judgement I paused on my way to the parking structure to smoke a cigarette I’d been saving fo r the past few days. Yes, I know, I shouldn’t smoke but sometimes I needed a little something at the end of my shift. I don’t drink or take fun drugs, so that pretty much leaves smoking and online shopping.
I usually sneak my smokes on the roof of the parking building. It’s very quiet up there and the only people I ever see up there in the wee hours are the helicopter crew and maybe someone from the security team.
On this particular night, the main crown, a vertex, was not in saint position. Not unheard of but not common, eaither. You’ll see in the sample.
The parking deck became “as glass” , Red light in horizon. This is a cool island, maybe near the heart of sea. Around my, they pray for me saying, “Our brother is in trouble. We have to help him. We are him he is us and we are one.” I’m casting about. Classic popular music. There I am to face the final sight.
I very well could have imagined the whole thing. As I said, it was a late shift and nobody is really at their best in those circumstances.
